Yesterday we read  Yertle the Turtle by Dr. Seuss.  Yertle was  a king.  He was a mean king.  He made turtles stack up so he would have a tall  throne.  Afterwards, we stacked turtles with Mack on the bottom  and Yertle on top.

Crazy Hair Day

Today is Tuesday.  It is crazy hair day.  Some people  have lots of pony tails, some people have dyed hair. Some people have afros, mohawks,or just messy hair. It is a fun day in Ms. Griffiths' class!

Read Across America

This week is Read Across America week in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday.  We will be doing lots of  fun things and reading lots of Dr.Seuss books.These are the Cat in the Hats we made.

Field Trip to Pelican's Nest

Yesterday we went on a field trip to Pelican's Nest.  We got to use magnifying glasses  to look at   things from  the  ocean.  Then we got  back on the bus and went to Mobile Bay.  The  chaperones  used a net to catch us fish and shrimp to look at.  After  Pelican's Nest we went to the park to eat lunch and play. It was a very interesting day!

Presiden'ts Day

Yesterday was President's Day.  We made log cabins like Abraham Lincoln lived in.  He was 6'4" tall.  We  also learned about GeorgeWashington.  He was our 1st president.  President's Day honors both of these and  all other Presidents of the USA.

Valentine Fancy Nancy Day!!!

Yesterday was Valentine's Day.  We made Posh Puppies. It was Fancy Nancy Day. We wore fancy clothes. We had a fashion show in the gym. For our party we had  parfaits.  Pairfait is a fancy word for ice cream sundae.
