Mixing Colors!

We learned how to mix the primary colors which are red, yellow, and blue to get the secondary colors.  The secondary colors are purple, orange, and green.  We then wrote the color words by the color we mixed.  We are learning a color word each week by learning a song.  The red song goes like this:
RED red RED red
I can spell red  I can spell red.
Fire trucks are red.  Stop signs are too!
RED  RED/

These are some of the students who did a great job!

Boys and Ponytails

We didn't think any boys wore ponytails so we searched on the internet and found that we were wrong.  Here are just a couple:

Sorting People (AMSTI MATH)

We sorted our class by PONY TAILS or NO PONY TAILS

This is the group WITH pony tails.  There were seven that had pony tails today.  SaRiaya noted that we could sort this group by ones with bows and clicker balls and ones without.  We also realized that there are NO boys in our pony tail picture.  Check back tomorrow and we will see if any of our boys decide to wear a pony tail.

This is our group WITHOUT pony tails.  There are 2 girls and 8 boys in the NO pony tail group.  8+2=10 total in this group.
