We had a special reader yesterday. Justin Bieber read Cat in the Hat to us! The girls loved it but the boys say they didn't. We think they are jealous.
We are very mad. It is raining again. We are very sad because we won't get to play outside. It makes us think about the dogs in our "A Rainy Day" book.
We have been learning about Abraham Lincoln. He was the 16th president of the united States of America. He lived in a log cabin. We made log cabins out of sticks.
Today is Groundhog Day. The famous groundhog, Phil, saw his shadow. That means six more weeks of winter. A groundhog is also called a woodchuck or a whistle pig.
We are learning about shadows. Here we are seeing how shadows move during the day depending on where the sun is. We learned that the sun is in the East in the morning, above us at noon, and in the West in the afternoon.
