Last Day of January

Today is the  last day of January.  Tomorrow it will be February.  We are learning  about shadows this week.

We had frost this morning.  We saw it on the grass and on the glass.  If you see frost it is cold!

Yesterday was 100th  day of school.  Mrs.Bosch came and helped us with our activities. She brought cereal for us to make necklaces. We put 100 pieces on our necklace.

Weekend is Over!

Our letter this week is Oo.  O say /ah/ like in octopus.  It is one of the vowels.  We love to sing the Vowel Bat song.

Book of the Week

Our book this week is Farfallina and Marcell. The characters are a  gosling and a catepillar that become friends.  After the catepillar changed to a butterfly and the gosling to a goose, they didn't recognze each other.

We have been learning about the cold parts of the world.  We found out that a penguin's dad takes care of the egg.  He holds it on his feet two months!  He doesn't have anything to eat the whole time.
